The small fruit trees that I planted with my husband in the spring have grown well over the summer. During the drought we watered them with small water bottles. After mowing the lawn we were able to admire their growth spurt.

As of today, the Earth’s resources for 2014 are exhausted. This startling announcement I read in today’s news.
What are we doing in the remaining four and a half months until the end of the year?
My appeal:
Everyone can contribute to a healthy world for us to live in.
I invite to plant trees and to reforest the deforested areas.
The summer of 2014 was characterized by heat waves, storms, thunder and rain. A friend of mine recently sent me some pictures, showing his well-kept forest destroyed by a storm. Because of a storm in May 2014 many trees had to be cut down and sold prematurely. Nevertheless, my friend is going to reforest the damaged area soon.
Even the news showed many pictures of wasted forests. It has been reported, that every year storms, floods and forest fires destroy regions, not only important for humans, but for animals and nature as well. Hopefully these areas will be reforested!
My request: Please do not forget to reforest!
